Poetry can be a really beautiful way to express yourself. I like experimenting with both free-verse and form poetry to put thoughts to paper that I don’t have a story for.
Dwell: Poems about Home is an anthology of poetry from South Broadway Press that raised money to support The Village Institute, which helps refugees transition to life in America. My poem “The Mother of the OED” was included
“Weak, Pompous, Alone, Etc.” is a short but powerful free-verse poem that was published in Windfall Magazine in May 2021
“Life Sciences 101: Liars & Fires” is a playful poem that posits a creative view of the way our world works. Published in Green Blotter in 2021
In “Obituaries for My Upbringing,” I use a form featured by Victoria Chang in her collection Obit to highlight the way life changes once you become an adult. Published in The Blue Route in May 2021
“Blooming/Wilting” was my first literary publication. This free-verse poem about the nature of love was published in Better Than Starbucks, vol V, no 1 in Jan. 2020
